PINEWOOD DERBY UPDATE

PLEASE NOTE - UPDATED RULES FOR 2012 - Car construction is the same, but competition rules have been updated.  Please review the attachment for details or click  here.  Our annual test track is on Saturday, February 25 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Medford Methodist Church in Bowker Hall.  Bring your car over to test on the track (one car at a time - no racing at this event).  You can weigh your car, ensure it's in compliance with the rules, and get tips on making modifications if necessary.  The Derby is at our next Pack Meeting - Friday, March 2 at Kirby's Mill School.  Rumor has it we're changing a few things up this year.  Rumor also has it that our recent "graduates" may be running a "modified" derby race.  We look forward to a great night of racing.  See you there!

Harlem Globetrotters at Liacouras Center - TICKET MONEY DUE NOW!

Pack 26 is off to see the Harlem Globetrotters on Friday, March 9 at 7:00 PM at the Liacouras Center at Temple University.  The response has been overwhelming - ALL 96 TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT!    Please ensure you get your payment to Michael Smith, John Oleniacz or Melissa Supelana by February 21

Cub-o-Ree Theme Announced!

Save the date!  Pack 26 is attending Cub-o-Ree at Pine Tree on Saturday, April 28 - Sunday, April 29.  This year's theme is "Cub Scouts Rock!".  This annual Council-wide parent and son event includes lots of rock hound fun, mining for adventures, BBs and archery, an a one-night camp out!  Scouts can sign out as needed to attend sports or other activities.  You can attend for just the day, or you can stay and camp out with us.  And we're looking to bring the big breakfast back on Sunday morning.  We will have more details in early March, but keep in mind that the early registration deadline is April 4th.  We'll pass on more info as soon as we get it.

40 Winks with the Sphinx - SOLD OUT

Our Museum Overnight Trip to the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is sold out.  If you have not paid for the event yet, the cost is $40 per person, and checks can be made payable to Pack 26.  If you have not yet turned in your waiver form, you can download it from the website (there is a link on this article.)  If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Frayne Ronkowski

Summer Day Camp

Council has released details for Summer Day Camp.  There will be 5 weeks of camp with 3 different themes at Pine Tree.  There will also be 2 weeks of "travelling day camp" (no swimming these weeks) at other locations in Burlington County.  There are also 2 Webelos resident camp sessions - 1 for 1st year, and 1 for 2bd year Webelos.  Information is posted on our website HERE.  To sign up, please visit the Council website by clicking HERE.  If you have any questions, please contact our Pack Camp Coordinator, Ken Leon-Guerrero, or Cubmaster John Oleniacz.  Please note that the early registration deadline is May 2.  (In order to be eligible for a $100 discount for camp, Scouts and Parent volunteers must be signed up by then.)
